"Ozymandias" Video

Here is Percy Shelley's poem "Ozymandias" with an interpretation of themes following.
It's best to watch in full screen!

  1. Justin, all I gotta say, is "wow." That was very excellently done. I can tell you must have gone above and beyond the call of duty, but the end result is something that I believe you could use in your teaching very easily. It definitely makes stuffy old Percy Shelley come alive.

My only feedback is that 1) the images of the faces of the U.S. presidents on the bodies of dictators would surely ruffle some feathers. You'd probably get some phone calls from parents and community members over that. Something to consider. At least you were bipartisan! ;-)

    2) you did a great job listing the specific URL for each image, and we needed that level of detail with the music too---so we knew the names of the songs and how to find them on freeplaymusic.com

Still, I can't help but give you full credit for this assignment because it's quite a nice piece of work. Good job!

  2. That was amazing. I think the pictures you used to interpret the poem will help kids understand it. I also love how you applied it to history and today.
